Be safe and informed with our tips

To travel to Brazil you will need a valid passport with at least 6 months and a Visa. Some countries do not need a Visa as Brazil has a policy of reciprocity.
Visit the page of Brazilian Consulate (I chose the one in Los Angeles as I live near it, but you can try to find a Consulate closer to you)
http://losangeles.itamaraty.gov.br/en-us/visas.xml
You can find information about Visa, forms, documents needed and other useful information related to your trip.
*An important information: to visit Amazon it is necessary to have a yellow fever vaccine, but again, you may find this and other information in that website.

Curiosities

People in Brazil are very friendly and warm.
Don't be surprised if you are introduced to someone and they hug you and/or kiss you on the cheeks.
They usually give you two or three kisses on the cheeks when they
are introduced to you in an informal situation like a gathering, parties, etc.
Shaking hands are for professional meetings/situations. Well, there are of course, some people that will only shake hands with you though... you know that awkward moment that one person does one thing and the other does another... One go for hand shake and the other go for kiss... :-)
